ફંફોસ્યું સૌ ફરીફરી અને હાથ લાગ્યુંય ખાસ્સું :
જૂનું ઝાડૂ, ટૂથબ્રશ, વળી લક્સ સાબુની ગોટી,
બોખી શીશી, ટિનનું ડબલું, બાલદી કૂખકાણી,
તૂટ્યાં ચશ્માં, ક્લિપ, બટન ને ટાંકણી સોય-દોરો !
લીધું દ્ધ્રારે નિત લટકતું નામનું પાટિયું,
જે મૂકી ઊંધુ, સુપરત કરી, લારી કીધી વિદાય.
ઊભા છેલ્લી નજર ભરીને જોઈ લેવા જ ભૂમિ,
જ્યાં વિતાવ્યો પ્રથમ દસકો મુગ્ધ દામ્પત્ય કેરો;
જ્યાં દેવોના પરમ વર શો પુત્ર પામ્યાં પનોતો
ને જ્યાંથી રે કઠણ હ્રદયે અગ્નિને અંક સોંપ્યો !
કોલેથી જે નીકળી સહસા ઊઠતો બોલી જાણે:
‘બા-બાપુ ! ના કશુંય ભૂલિયાં, એક ભૂલ્યાં મને કે ?’
ખૂંચી તીણી સજલ દગમાં કાચ કેરી કણિકા !
ઉપાડેલાં ડગ ઉપર શા લોહ કેરા મણિકા !

Yes This is excellent poem.
It remind me my Gujarati sir in the school. I still remember how he explained the last line LOH KERI MANIKA….
At that time I had no experiance of changing home. Today, when I am reading, I understand the first portion. Yes, we have many small small useful and useless things, that we notice when we change the home.
At that time, I had no experiance of death of near and dear. Today…..
I ralise that whatever we learnt in school days to score good marks. Either PADYA or GADYA. It was containing NICHOD of life experaice of the creator (autor/poet).
