ખીંટી સમ જડાયો છું હું સમયની આ ભીંતમાં,
સંબંધોનાં વસ્ત્રો મને ચડ્યે ઉતર્યે જાય છે.
મૃગની જેમ ભરમાયો છું હું રણોની આ ભીડમાં,
ઝાંઝવાઓ પણ મને જોઇ જરા ભરમાય છે.
હવાની જેમ વેરાયો છું હું નભ-ધરાની બીચમાં,
શ્વાસોનું બંધન છતાં કેમ લોભાવી જાય છે?
કાળજામાં કોરાયો છું હું પડ્યો જ્યારથી પ્રીતમાં,
સ્મરણોનાં મલમ પણ કયારેક દર્દો આપી જાય છે.
સાગરમાં સંતાયો છું હું નદીઓ સંગ રીસમાં,
મોતી સમજી મને કોઇ મરજીવો લઇ જાય છે.
ગેયતા વિનાયે ગવાયો છું હું ગઝલ અને ગીતમાં,
ઠોઠ પણ ક્યારેક સૂરમાં છબછબિયાં કરી જાય છે.
બધાયથી સવાયો છું હું જગતની હર રીતમાં,
તારી જ એક ઊર્મિ મને કાયમ હરાવી જાય છે.

Very nice creation. This painting of words make me feel like pacific ocean in its mariana trench point, with all energy and passion lying under, blowing a flute in my mind with its gentle breeze.

What a great similie . Simply marvellous.
When we remove that attachment with the wall - our fixed way of being… it is then that we become unstoppable , with wide horizons and a limitless sky to fly - like ‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull’.
